Co-location Services - Web Site Hosting Canada

To request a collocation quote or order services contact us.

Standard Collocation services are made up of three core components

  • Rackspace - the physical storage space
  • Power - a redundant power source
  • Network connection - via multiple carriers

Rackspace
All equipment is stored in 19" rack mount cabinets. The cabinets are cabled to provide power and network connections for all machines. The cost of rackspace is based on the vertical height of your equipment and charged per RU. Rack mounted servers typically range from 1 - 6 rack units in height.

Power
Power is provided via a UPS and diesel generator. Power is charged by each power outlet used.

Network Connection
All networking is provided using 100Mbps connections. Each network connection has a one time setup fee.

Data Transfer
Bandwidth is provided via multiple independent connections. The connections run at low utilization to provide maximum performance for web hosting services.

Optional Services
In addition to our standard collocation services, there are a number of optional services available:

  • Server Monitoring
Constant internal monitoring of your server is provided. Network connections and individual services such as web or email servers on your equipment can be monitored.
  • Remote Reboot Capability
If your server were to crash or hang at any time we can provide the ability to remotely toggle the power to your machine. This is especially useful for services which require a high percentage of up-time and eliminates delays which may occur due to crashing outside of business hours. Telnet and http interfaces are provided to an APC Master switch.
  • Redundant network connection.
A second network connection can be provided which in combination with a second network card will ensure your machine stays online in the event of cabling fault or port failure in the switch you connected to.
  • Server Maintenance Contracts
A variety of server maintenance services are available and performed by trained server technicians.
